ImageThere is something about hearing other peoples diets that is so intriguing to fellow dieters, athletes, body builders, etc. Heck, even just watching someone else eat food is, in some way, captivating by viewers. Whether is watching someone else gorge themselves on a cheat day influenced meal, observe abnormal food concoctions/sizes being consumed (I.e Man vs Food/ Epic Meal Time) or even coming across a video labelled “Healthy” or “Clean” will make us undoubtedly curious to the food novelty that’s being represented. It’s always interesting to hear, or see what others eat. Myself, I like to keep things simple and reliable… By simple, i mean I keep the source of the macronutrients straightforward; and reliable means that i’m often eating from a selection of foods that I enjoy. I’ll normally do things the same for a while, and only when I realllllly get tired of the routine i’ll change things up. I have a few favourites that I enjoy eating for each meal and it’s all matter of deciding which one I’d prefer to have based on my desire, mood, nutritional needs, or appetite. I’m not a hard core “Bro” by any means, but I do find comfort and enjoyment eating “bro” based foods. Its a personal choice more so cause its easier in my opinion, and I also know how to make them taste awesome! This is a current example of my diet right now:

I used to make my breakfast very complex, like needing at least 30-45 minutes each morning to rattle it all together. I’ve eventually taken a more simpler approach after getting tired of making breakfast a damn mission. Though I make it easy I still make sure my breakfast is nutritious and balanced. I like eating oatmeal or a high fiber cereal. For Protein I either use eggs/egg beaters or Protein Powder, and If Im not using whole eggs I love getting my fats from nuts.
– For the past month i’ve been doing; Fiber one cereal w/Walnuts, berries/banana, and Almond Milk mixed with protein powder.
– Another option is; Old-Fashion Oats with blueberries, nutmeg, cinnamon, and Stevia. 2 eggs, 1/2 C egg beaters and steamed broccoli. Mix that with Hot sauce and Salsa and i’m good.

For Lunch; things get tricky because I’m normally at work and don’t have time to sit and eat. I still make the effort to get something sustainable in me because i’ll probably be using this meal as my pre-workout meal on many days. I love eating Avocado’s for my fats, and lunch is usually the only time i’ll use bread as a source for carbs.
Lately i’ve been doing; Deli ham and Avocado on whole wheat bread w/ laughing cow cheese spread. And possibly a carrot/apple.
If I want more protein I’ll change the Ham with Tuna and mix the tuna with Salsa.

For Dinner I love eating chicken, i’m not a huge red meat eater so I usually turn to poultry or fish.
For the last while i’ve loved doing either Tacos or burritos w/ whole wheat tortillas, chicken/tuna, avocado, salsa and light sour cream.
I also enjoy making salads and mixing in chicken and sweet potato’s w/ sugar free syrup. (Don’t don’t Hate it if you never ate it) And add EV Olive Oil if I feel I haven’t had it in a while.
Some days I develop my “SWOLE BOWLS” which you can check out in my MUSCLE MEAL category of my blog.
If wild Salmon is fresh in the supermarket one day I’ll always jump on the opportunity  Frozen Salmon doesn’t even come close to fresh, and I’ll always opt wild for farmed.
If I’m eating with my family i’ll make something that requires a more fork & knife method and have either chicken breast or pork tenderloin with either potatoes or rice and a salad.

For Dessert:
I either do one of the following…again depending on my mood, nutritional needs, etc.
Yogurt, Pop Tart, Ice Cream, Skinny Cow, Fruit, Cereal rice cakes

And Before Bed:
I love giving myself a dessert like meal before bed. I have a sweet tooth the size of Everest and I make sure it’s satisfied each night. I ALWAYS make myself a sweet breakfast based meal at night; like Protein Pancakes, Waffles or French Toast. I pack them with a bunch of stuff (Egg whites, Protein Powder, Oats, greek yogurt, Peanut Butter) and the kicker is submerging these loafy beds in a sweet, sticky pancake syrup (Like Walden Farms or ED. Smith). I love these things but they can lose their delight if i eat them 7 days in a row. So to ensure I keep things fresh, i’ll have cottage cheese or greek yogurt with peanut butter one day. Or a protein cake made from pancake mix, protein powder and peanut butter. I accompany my dish with a decaf coffee with a flavour syrup, cause I like the warm sweetness at night.
